Andrew Chadwick took up the post of Head of Programmes and  Partnerships at the British Council in France in August 2016.

He first joined the British Council in Chile in 2008 and became its Country Director in 2010. Andrew oversaw a period of significant growth for the British Council in Chile, including the development of partnerships with the Ministry of Education, the opening of a new English learning centre for young children, and the growth of a science and innovation programme. 

After completing a degree in History at the University of Edinburgh, Andrew began his career in the non-profit sector and has worked for a range of organisations across fields as diverse as education, social welfare and environment, with bases in London, Santiago and the Scottish Hebridean Islands. During this time, Andrew completed an MSc in Voluntary Sector Policy and Administration at the London School of Economics.
