Sitting a professional/university exam on our premises

If you are a university student or a professional registered with an anglophone university, or professional awarding body (in the UK, USA, Australia etc.), you can sit your exam at the British Council Paris.

Our exam centre will arrange for your exams to take place under the correct exam conditions: 

  • we receive and ensure the secure storage of examinations materials
  • the exam will take place in a suitable room and will be supervised by a British Council invigilator
  • we will conduct the examination according to the awarding body examination regulations
  • after the exam, we will ensure that examination materials are securely despatched to the relevant awarding body, according to their regulations

It is your responsibility to contact the examination board to verify that you can sit your exam with us, and to provide them with the correct contact details for the safe delivery of the examinations materials.

Please note that we cannot accommodate exams involving Listening or Speaking components.

All exams must be organised within our opening hours (09.00 – 18.00).

We cannot host exams on weekends, or after 12.00 on Wednesdays.

If you are sitting an exam with one of the following awarding bodies, please contact them directly, they will complete your registration with us on your behalf: Heriot Watt University, ACCA, Open University, Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.

GCSE'S and A-Levels
