Resources for teaching French

French is the most widely taught language in the United Kingdom. The French Institute in London has developed Les petites leçons de français, a series of short videos made for beginners of French who want to discover the language in a fun and easy way. Apprendre le français from TV5 Monde was developed to inspire people to learn about French and the wealth of diversity of the French-speaking world.

The Institut français du Royaume-Uni offers a wide range of initiatives for schools. You can find classroom resources in a range of formats – music, posters, education packs – on Culturethèque and access to French and Francophone movie with lessons plans on IF Cinema.
