This course is ideal for students who are thinking of:

  • studying at university level in an English-speaking country
  • studying in a higher-education institution in France or
  • worldwide with classes taught in English
  • participating in ERASMUS or other exchange programmes

Students will practise the following university-level skills during the course

  • reading academic texts
  • listening to academic lectures
  • writing different types of essays and reports
  • adopting academic language and style
  • participating in academic discussions and seminars
  • giving academic presentations
  • developing critical thinking skills through the study of literature
  • tips and general guidance on preparing the IELTS exam (often required by universities)

We will also offer guidance on the following areas:

  • researching and choosing English-speaking universities
  • the application procedures for different countries and especially the UK system
  • writing personal statements

  • Course Level

    Our B2.2 / C1.1 course lasts for one year and is open to Terminale students

    Our C1.2+ course last two years and is divided into Première and Terminale students
