To extend the fashion week atmosphere, join us on 21 May at 7pm for a TED-talk-style talk, hosted by a former student who trained in the UK, who will reveal the mysteries of fashion in the metaverse!
Although the intersection of fashion and emerging technologies has been developing for several decades, the rapid advancement of immersive design tools and the imminent expansion of Web3 are fundamentally reshaping the future of fashion. The metaverse offers new platforms for creativity, commerce, and collaboration, increasingly blurring the boundaries between the physical and virtual realms across the industry. Within these digital environments, virtual garments, accessories, digital assets and cryptocurrencies converge, encouraging designers and creators to rethink both the possibilities of fashion and its broader cultural significance. Designed for avatars, these creations introduce new conceptions of the human body that challenge established notions of gender, ethnicity, inclusivity and identity. In this talk, Bradley Quinn explores the potentials of virtual fashion in immersive worlds, making it relevant to other disciplines by revealing its role in shaping the digital future. This presentation marks a significant moment in the evolution of design and will be of particular interest to designers, digital innovators and tech enthusiasts engaged with developments in virtual design, immersive environments and cutting-edge fashion.
This event is part of the “Tech Made Simple” series - a space for curious minds and forward-thinking professionals to connect, learn, and be inspired.
