How to register for an English course with British Council France

Follow these four simple steps:

Step 1 - Book a free consultation (1min)

  • To help choose the right course, book a free consultation at a suitable time and date at one of our centres.

Have you recently completed a placement test?

Step 2 - Complete a short online level check (30mins)

  • After booking the placement test, you will receive an email with a unique link to complete the online level check.
  • The online level check consists of 30 multiple choice questions to be completed within 30 minutes. Please complete this before the face-to-face consultation.

Step 3 - Attend your face-to-face consultation (15 mins)

  • An expert teacher at our centre will assess your online level check and find the right course for you.

Step 4 - Course registration (15 mins)

  • After your consultation, register and pay for your chosen course.
  • You must be 18 years old to pay and register for the courses.

Check to see if your employer/CPF can pay for your course.

Have you recently completed a level check?

You do not need to do the placement and online level check if:

  • you have done a placement test within the past six months
  • you have passed the FCE, CAE or CPE exam within the past six months.

You may directly register onto a course with your closest centre.
