In November 2025, the British Council and France Education international will be holding an international workshop on:

Maximising learning outcomes in relation to CLIL in primary and secondary education.

The event will take place on 26 and 27 November 2025 at France Éducation international, 1 Avenue Léon Journault, 92318 Sèvres, France. It will bring together 120 select participants, including representatives of 13 countries and key organisations from across Europe.

The workshop will include the launch of the British Council’s report on CLIL in primary education in France, as well as a presentation of France Éducation international’s work in this area. Roundtable discussions will explore how CLIL is applied in various educational contexts.

Participants will also take part in a series of interactive, hands-on sessions focusing on different aspects of CLIL policy and practice. Our aim is to harness the collective expertise of our diverse group — including teachers, teacher educators, policymakers, and researchers — to generate concrete advice and suggestions, which will be published following the event.
